FSL 2026-2027 11+ Course
The FSL Course includes:
Comprehensive Year 4 Assessment
an at-home paper (sent via email) is to be completed and returned to Kate for marking and initial feedback. This paper is designed to assess what has (and hasn’t) been covered at school to date.
A group session in the spring of Year 4, where students do a timed piece of work under Kate’s observation. A feedback report from this session is also provided, before parents decide if they wish to commit to a course space.
Please note - there is absolutely no obligation to continue with the course after the assessment process is complete.
Fee: £195 (payable upon Assessment Registration).
This fee holds your child’s space on the course until all feedback from the Assessment has been received in May of Year 4.
If parents choose to continue with the full course, the fee is deducted from the course price.
FSL Course Part 1 – Teaching Phase
Optional work (books + emailed worksheets) from the summer of Year 4 through to Christmas of Year 5, to get the ball rolling.
Small group lessons during term time (6–10 students per group), from January to July of Year 5.
(If students start lessons earlier than this, they are likely to tire of the work and ‘burn out’. From experience, it’s best to begin after they’ve had a rest over the Christmas holidays and are fresh and ready to start in the New Year.)Weekly individual feedback report, detailing your child’s progress. (See a mid-course example here.)
Optional homework during the Easter and half-term breaks.
1 x Mid-Term Mock + Feedback Report in April of Year 5, to reassess progress and build confidence with longer papers.
Access to Kate’s bank of explainer videos, demonstrating methods for tricky 11+ question types.
All exclusive materials and papers included – no hidden extras!
FSL Course Part 2 – Revision and Testing Phase
3 x Mock Exam Sessions + Feedback Score Reports, held every fortnight throughout the summer holidays at Ashley Green Memorial Hall. These sessions offer an authentic test experience using exclusive materials written by Kate.
The FSL Summer Pack – six weeks’ worth of exclusive, timetabled work scheduled for the end of the summer term, the summer holiday, and the week before the 11+ exam.
3 x Drop-In Sessions with Kate, scheduled around the Mock Exam sessions, to help with exam preparation and corrections.
1 x Review Session with Kate, held in the week before the exam. This session revisits exam technique, discusses how to manage nerves, and revises tricky topics.
When and where are the lessons?
All group sessions are held in Berkhamsted.
Students attend one session per week (either 4:00–5:15 or 5:30–6:45) on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
